Work on my life: How I want it

April, 2013

My student's life  is next to achieve the minimum to survive on this world: I'm going to be an
engineer next year. Nowadays I'm finishing my credits this semester and a plan for my future is
needed, and I have it but it may be an amazing dream, but there it go.

After completing all the credits my life should be focused on two things, in professional talking:
my thesis and a job. My thesis should be accomplished in six months or very close, getting me
graduated for a month or two before a year passed after I wrote this. But the work is a very
different an interesting story.

When I talked with my  friends whose have being searching for one, or already got it, I learned
that for many jobs, a period should be passed for getting, for real, the job. Working life, in
engineering, apparently is very different of what I expected in terms of acquire a place
somewhere: a test or more that will point for some area in no longer than two months. However,
I have assisted to some conferences and with the dialogues with my friends, I learned that real
jobs aren't achievable in less than a year, so I thought: Uhh, those are bad news.

Those are bad news because I do want to do a Master Degree and more, but the Master
Degree I had planned to start it  in two years or less, imagine how difficult it may be if continue
working, very possible outside Mexico City and studying on the U.N.A.M. or if had the chance to
study it in another country, even more. To do that, I would have to be working somewhere very
close to the  studies center or vice versa.

But what kind of job? My interest for many  things made me thing that many areas will fulfill my
necessity about working: Designing mechanical systems, materials and phenomena
investigation, controlling processes...

So with that my real plan is this: I want to get a job and stay there for two, maximum three years,
and ask for a permission for studies, or if it's necessary I would quit, for studying my Master
Degree and maybe the PhD immediately after that and maybe later get a consultant job . But
why is the studies so important for me?

Well, I'm hardly someone that like to do the same every day, I need to ignore my duties one or
two days, weekends out of account, or maybe more to be happy: But if that weren't enough, I
like so many things which ones get me distracted or I want or need to learn so I  have to do it.
Sadly, these days it's unaffordable to me, but after I started working for real I will have money
and time for that. And it's almost an  obligation to myself because my passions have been
almost always kept somewhere I could have them on  control and not being distracted by them,
but they will see the light, it's a promise.

Due to many things I want to do, it's very important to get me time, and that comes when you
don't have obligations for someone else. So the idea is to become a really surprisingly skilled
engineer but, who really do engineering, for me that means pulling of darkness secrets of
nature, developing new techniques, inventing and more. The key point is to do that somehow I
could be the owner of the patent, so I may sell the rights on its totality or partially or not selling
them at all, and what means that? Money.

But what you do with money? Well, I'm sure "spend it"  may cross some minds when they hear
this question. But the intelligent answer is invest it. Why? Because it may grow and more you
have more things you will able to do. You will get more money to expand your investments or to
create your own company (which is also  investing). But don't forget that money is not everything
or the most important in  the world, inclusive if the actions done because its possession made
you happy.

Happiness should be ours true goal. I want the money to learn many things with theoretical and
practical methods, but it's more important to meet the most possible thing and see if my real
happiness is with something I met before or something unknown for me on these days, I'm not
talking about love, but it may appear in the way or could be close to me right now, I'm talking
about activities that make me feel realized. Knowing that, money would be only important for
buying the necessary for me, and my family if get one.

L'auberge espagnole

Places.
The story began in Paris, France, with the main character sat in a restaurant with a government's employeer who, while eating, told him about the requirements he needed.
That meeting due to main's character father's recomendation at someone's home in a middle lightened bedroom.
Xavier attended to Erasmus coordinator's office to obtain information, but he needed to visit various offices after a long walk to arrive.
In the travelling scenes, the airport, the airplane and the places visited were almost always shown in second plane so those were places merely used.
The first place in which he rest was interesting. The adolescents who mocked Xavier and terrified him in the 18th century-like neighborhood were a non usually shown scene in film with travellings.
The final apartment was very nice, I would  like to live there, it may be funny and interesting. Apparently it has a common kitchen and living room, six dorms and a balcony. It is not cheap, which is the reason why there are many people living there and turn the apartment a little chaotic, that and that they were Erasmus students.

People.
Many incidental characters, or apparently incidental have been shown: the employeer, the father, the mother, Martine, the building's owner, the women in the university who inform Xavier about Erasmus...
The secondary characters could be his appartmentmates, very funny as a group, and the french marriage which met in the airport that look like a master-slave relationship.
Xavier is a polite, relaxed, quite and a home-made man which is trying, at his best, to get a job.

Plot.
It has been about a graduated man who needs, by instructions, to study a major degree in Economics in Spain, which will last a year, to get the posibility to obtain a job in the french government. When he moved to Spain, he need to get a place to live that year and obtained it with some others Erasmus students which arrived to Spain from different countries.

Inspired by Brave New World (book) Part 1

What kind of ideology is represented by the motto in the building?

The motto is: Community, Identity, Stability
My guess, is the pretention to build, from a society, a group named community which I define as a group that  work together for a goal and could recognize each other as a sibling, creating with that strong relationships. After the community has been recognized, for them to having a feeling of belonging to the community, and unifying the feeling to a group's definiton for themselves then they get their identity. If they can their identity accepted by foreigners and they do not want to change it continuously, they would get a constant level of their identity and with that level not being modified enormously, the stability is acquired.

Is there such a thing as Natural Selection?

Of course it exist. But we need to specify, actually I must say this concept doesn't apply to the human anymore. Why?
There are many supports for humans to making them survive and don't forget people is not anymore required by nature because people basically stays in cities. With regulations and mass production it's difficult for people to develop their hidden or not often used habilities. Despite this, the majority of newborns are best fitted for the world that has been created than the creators, so the effect of the hand of natural selection is still  slightly visible.
And for animals, there couldn't be more visible the mentioned hand, because, if humans stay away, their world is wild and that demand for the best use of their habilities to survive and reproduce and those habilities are inherited to nexts generations.

If you could decide who to reproduce/clone, who would you pick?
This is an incredibly hard question, I've been thinking on how to pick the ones with rights to reproduce, I haven't time to think about cloning.
Taking away the right to reproduce implies to remove the caracteristic of being a living being from that people. Very different than allow them to try and not getting it.
Besides, who can assure we aren't the best option that is allowed for us on our time? We have on our shoulders so many things, mainly knowledge, that if we had chosen to not live the disgraceful things, we wouldn't have the option to solve it.
And about cloning people, maybe the most intelligent people, not only about science, and people with natural defenses against diseases could be a good option.

If

Hypotetical situation.
You have booked a holiday with your family on a remote exotic island. Just before you're about to go, you hear on the news that there have been some outbreaks of violence between rival poltical factions on the island. What would you do?

I would keep my idea on going there, of course they wouldn't stop they barbaric issues just because of my presence, but also is unlikely that they would try  to beat each other at the resort I have booked.

Something that I would do just as a cautius measure is to ask for information at the hotel, I would definitely get angry if i arrived and they had closed the resort for security measures.

Being ther in that situation only let me to spend some time between a local war, something that I wouldn't do beacuse it's not ncessary, injuries hurts, I might die and there is a high probability on losing my belongings.

As a conclusion I guess I would go, some opportunities have to be taken, so if  the hotel's administrators said  it's safe staying there I would tahe their word becaused theiy assured that and could get rich if they were wrong.

Apparently this text has been corrected and shoudn't contain any mistakes, but due to the mistakes done last time which some of them were ridiculously incredible when I put an eye on them I'll write the next lines which are intended to help me on activating some kind of filter's languaje for writting and speaking well.

I know the last homework I did it at the very last time, which means it was done firstable for fulfill the duty than to be done as should be, this implies to not having enough time to review my dudes about some words with their spelling.

Another process mistake  is I haven't beat is my need to think in spanish and then translate to the foreign languaje on use.

The last thing I need to do to help my learning process is to move away, there is to much spanish in the air. If I didn't have the possibility to use it I would advance fastly in the learning. I know this is not only dificult right now, its almost impossible but there is a lot of media which can help like movies or recordings, maybe that wouldn't be enough but would be more than I use actually.
